As summer unfolds, we are excited to welcome your rising first grader into our True Kids Elementary ministry here at Word of Truth Family Church! We’ve loved having them visit over the past few weeks and get a feel for what’s ahead, and now we want to make your transition just as smooth.
Here are a few helpful things to know:
- Name Tags: In TK Elementary, children wear their name tags on the front of their clothing so our team can easily greet and identify them.
- True Bucks & True Store: Your child will have the opportunity to earn True Bucks by bringing their Bible, participating in activities, helping others, and demonstrating Christ-like character. These can be used to shop in our True Store, which offers fun items like snacks, candy, small toys, gift cards, and books. If your child chooses a snack or candy, they’ll be reminded not to eat it until they’re back with you.
- Worship and Learning: Our service begins with welcome, worship, tithes and offering, a memory verse of the month, and a large group Bible lesson. After that, children break into small groups by grade level—1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th—for deeper discussion, connection, and age-appropriate activities.
We know change can be a big deal at this age, but we believe this next step will be a meaningful and fun experience for your child. Thank you for partnering with us as we help them grow in faith and community!
